Now that we have a fellow boxing fan back on board I'm wondering what Litez0ut thinks about Florida's Roy Jones Jr.IMO he's a clown but nobody could stay on their feet against him back in the day.

He was quick, and very entertaining to say the least. There wasn't much other talent out when he was in his prime though which is why it's really hard to judge him. I won't go as far as to say he was a clown though.

I use clown as a term of endearment Crowned. He's got "it" or had it. Boxing needs some new blood to shake things up.

And MJ that's on my ipod, find it every time I hit the gym.

Dude showboating was a modern day Ali minus the talent around him.

Great fighter but how great is the question to me also.

Not a lot of top flight talent in his time/prime to really rate him as Crowned pointed out.

He beat B-Hop ( with a broken hand going into the fight). Beat Toney, Tarver, and Trinidad, Pretty impressive to me.

That's why I'd class him as a great fighter but without a steady flow of comparable talent thru-out his career, I'm hard pressed to rank him near the top all-time.

Not his fault, just the landscape at the time. Conversely, there's also a lot of fighters who had a monster in their weight class that dominated & kept them from a title or so in their time.
