The Dallas Cowboys could be in the market for free agent safety O.J. Atogwe who became an unrestricted free agent on Friday when the St. Louis Rams released him instead of paying him an $8-million roster bonus. According to the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys need more takeaways from their safeties. A turnover specialist, Otagwe has recorded 21 intrerceptions and 16 forced fumbles since becoming a starter in 2006. The closest Cowboys in that five-year span is outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware–22 forced fumbles and an interception–and. cornerback Terrence Newman–17 interceptions and four forced fumbles. Atogwe is free to sign immediately with any team before the CBA expires on March 3rd, but the six-year pro will take some time to evaluate his future before making a decision. Browns could pay him and I wouldn't mind. They could use a turnover guy at FS with Ward at the other spot and have a hole that wouldn't even be too well-served by resigning Abe Elam. Who knows if he'd even be interested but that's how I rationalize it.
Yes they do I Galen ti like sensy....burning think he played too worried about cover other people's assignments.....I thunk the ball experiment is over
I thought Atogwe was the perfect fit this year, hopefully he visits Dallas, before he decides his future.
