Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount believes that he's the best running back in this year's NFL Draft. Character issues have caused his stock to slide and he won't be the first running back taken next week. "He was a first- or second-rounder before," said John Clayton, an NFL analyst for ESPN. C.J. Spiller (Clemson), Jonathan Dwyer (Georgia Tech), Ryan Matthews (Fresno State), and Jahvid Best (California) are projected as the top running backs in the NFL draft. "I still hold myself in the league of those guys," Blount said. "To be 100 percent honest, I feel like I'm the best running back in this draft." Source: RealGM.com
Only slight I have on Blount is he dances sometimes instead of just blasting through the hole. Other then that he B+ in my book so far.
The Titans let Blount go after he already made the 53-man roster in camp for LB's Tim Shaw and Patrick Bailey who were special team aces.
Yeah Chris Johnson is a great back but at this pace the Titans are going to wear him out. He needs someone to lighten the load on him. If Johnson keeps taking this Eddie George-type pounding then his moments of catching lightning in a bottle will start to become few and far between real fast.
THat's something he might improve over time as he gets a little more experience under his belt. Mendenhall was infamous for not hitting the hole hard...now he's got a knack for it...
For a short while it looked like he was gonna be a 49er too,..... Shame it never happened,.:icon_sad:,.......
