The agent for Baltimore Ravens undrafted rookie Tony Fein says the linebacker's weekend arrest in Baltimore was the result of police profiling and that police approached Fein because he was a black man wearing a sweat suit and hoodie. Fein was arrested and charged Sunday with assaulting a police officer. A police spokesman said that when police questioned Fein, he became belligerent and shoved the officer but Fein's agent, Milton Dee Hobbs, says it was the officer who was aggressive and that Fein didn't shove him. Wow, baltimore cops vs. don't you know who i am? I don't know who to believe. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9GgWrV8TcUc"]YouTube - Baltimore cops V.S. skateboarder[/ame]
the cops got called in because the resturant employees thought he was passing a gun at his table the cops came, told him to stand up, he refuses, then he stood and shoved the guy
I bet Officer Rivieri's bad day turned into an even worse month when that got into the right hands - what a rod. As for our friend Mr. Fein, I doubt we'll be hearing much from him come the season cuz BAL already has a pile of other LB projects waiting in the wings and he's the only one that ever allegedly shoved a cop
That cop got fired. He could have accepted a 90 day suspension but took his chances with a disciplinary panel. From the Baltimore Sun today: "The three-member panel, chaired by the homicide commander, found the 19-year veteran not guilty of the most serious administrative charges of using excessive force and language, but found him guilty of failing to write a report and to fill out a citizen-contact form. The panel recommended he be suspended for six days and lose six days of leave. But Police Commissioner Frederick H. Bealefeld III rejected the recommendation and fired Rivieri. He has the authority to escalate punishment as long as he stays within the parameters of a matrix; in this case, failing to write a report offers him maximum discretion — from no punishment up to and including termination." 1. I wish that heck wad of a cop would have gotten his badge shoved up his butt sideways. 2. When you assault a police officer racial profiling flies out the window.
wow, from the recommended 6day suspension to fired ? me thinks the commissioner got a call from al sharpton and jesse jackson and took the cat route.
Man, you are all over Al and Jesse. Not sure they would've gotten involved in this, but either way it's a PR nightmare and they played it safe for sure by getting rid of the guy. But to me, one less cop anywhere is a good thing, even there.
i am all over sharpton & jackson, cause they are racist dirtbags making money off of ignorance. this is a perfect case for one if not both of them to cling to. but either way you're right that the root cause for this firing was the possible PR hit and not about what actually happened. btw - why are you happy its one less cop ?
If you are talking about the "skateboard cop" then they don't care because it happened to a white kid.
