  2. some fun comments on Sam Bradford:

Hello St Louis. Bradford will fail on a Russell style level. If not worse.

He is not a franchise QB, and the Rams are not 1 player away from contention, or even mediocrity

He isn't going to ever be a top QB in the NFL. IMO Clausen will have a much longer and productive career. OU has had many lineman go Pro and ND hasn't during both of their respective careers. Bradford will be a Leaf/Russell waste of money.

I like clausen more than bradford

    You don't take a non-franchise QB #1

very easily could become the next Joey Harrington or Tim Couch.

Bradford is Jason White with better knees. His arm strength is lacking big-time.

his arm is better than Lefevour's. I doubt that for sure.

I think Clausen is better than Bradford in categories 1-3, but perhaps not 4. Clausen's completion rate was near 70% last year, and I didn't find that his WRs get separation like Bradford's. While Bradford has a similarly high completion percentage, Clausen played in an offense that threw the ball down the field more. And his decision making was really good. Clausen threw 4 picks last year - 1 was a hail mary, 2 were off balls that bounced off WRs hands, and the other was a legitimate pick. I just think Clausen is more ready (having playing in complicated NFL offense) and has better mechanics and accuracy. His transition will not be nearly as complex as Bradford.
Now, the leadership thing is the question mark. But that's one of those things that you just don't know until a guy gets in the NFL and gets inside locker rooms to see if he can command respect.

I thought Bradford would suck...at least as far as being the #1 pick. I am aware that I tend to hate on qb's more than other positions, though. I never thought he was an elite qb and even though he's done very well I'm still not entirely sold on him, although I'll readily admit he's been much better than I expected. However, he really hasn't been asked to do much up to this point, and this year is going to be his big test with McDaniels in town. No more short checkdowns all day long.

  9. as long as they give him some targets he'll be good to go. I do think hiring Mcdaniels was a huge blunder though. They need a west coast type scheme.

I think Julio Jones would be amazing for Bradford, giving him a shiny new toy to play with.

The thing with that is the Rams have young WRS they need to let develop. They have bigger needs at RG and on defense IMO.

  12. what young guys are even worth developing?

    I like Donnie Avery.

    Danario Alexander is always hurt.

    Dominique Curry is nobody.

Brandon Gibson is ok but nothing worth alot.

Mardy Gilyard is a young guy who is worth developing.

Danny Amendola is a slot guy.

None of these guys are or will ever be true #1 WR's.

what do you draft gurus think of Shiloh klieo seems like he did well at combine

  14. haven't looked at him. From what I've read he seems like a late round guy who has potential.

Look who there OC is and look what he did with the lack of talent he had in Denver. I mean Julio Jones is a good player but I doubt he falls to the Rams pick. I think they need Defense more then a WR. Fred Robbins played out of his mind last year, he is old though. Can he repeat that production again this year?

  17. not to mention they need another DE as well. I get your point and if Julio is gone I couldn't agree more but if he is there they gotta take him.

Lol. Love how this turns into the Rams/Sam Bradford thread.

On Cam Newton, I said it all last season that as a passer, he's not going to last in the NFL. Everyone had their fun with Vince Young, and he's already fading into irrelevance. Cam will be on the same level, if not worse. He's not a good passer, I believe that the BCS Title game showed some of that. His WRs made some good catches this season.

As far as Sam Bradford, its been one year. I give him the credit, no doubt. I just think we need to give it a little time before he say he's a bust or not. If the Rams draft Julion Jones, its going to definitely give Bradford a nice target, as Jones can go and get the ball. Dude's got great hands for the most part, and I see him doing great things on the next level.

all i know is that nothing is guaranteed......just bc one QB is fading doesnt mean the other will follow we can easily say that he might sit and develop and maybe turn the corner like Vick eventually did....

this draft and all before them and future ones are not an excat science.....

He reminds me of our backup safety Nakamura, not big or fast but smart, good special teamer, very sound player, would be a nice 5th rd pick.
