Akransas QB Ryan Mallett To Meet With Bengals, Dolphins This Week

  1. This week will be extremely busy for former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett. Arguably the best pure passer in this year's NFL draft (ESPN, April 28-30), the 6-foot-6, 238-pound Mallett will hold a private workout with the Miami Dolphins and a two-day visit with the Cincinnati Bengals this week, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. Miami's quarterback position is in flux with the inconsistency of starter Chad Henne. Following his workout with the Dolphins this week, the Bengals will bring Mallett to Cincinnati for a two-day visit on Thursday and Friday. This should not come as a surprise with Cincinnati's quarterback position in turmoil after starter Carson Palmer demanded to be traded and threatened to retire.
