Bejeweled Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Sued For $850,000-plus

Dallas Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is facing two lawsuits seeking more than $850,000 for unpaid jewelry bills, NFL and NBA tickets and loans. A Tarrant County man is suing Bryant for $588,500 worth of watches, earrings, bracelets, rings and other jewelry, plus $15,850 worth of tickets and $11,000 in unpaid loans, all the transactions were between June 2009 and June 2010. Receipts signed by Bryant show that they were supposed to be paid by July 30, 2010, “or when he signs his first Marketing or Sports Contract, which ever happens first,â€￾ the lawsuit said. The suit was filed in September and amended last week, before Bryant allegedly unleashed a tirade at a mall security officer concerned about his drooping pants. Another lawsuit filed last week says Bryant owes a New York company $246,000 for jewelry purchases made between January and May 2010, Bryant’s attorney says his client is being singled out because of his high profile.

Dude got a signing bonus of 2mil on top of his 8mil guaranteed didn't he? The hell is this moron thinking, I would have paid all that crap off immediately, as in the day I bought it so I'd never have to worry about it again.

 

Well if the kid had half a mind for money in the first place, he would have been patient and waited until he had a contract in place before he started spending money he didnt have and accruing what Im sure had to be massive amounts of interest on loans of that size. In a way I feel sorry for him that nobody he listens to would step up and give him some guidance on how to handle his money. Unfortunately I'm sure his entourage was more than supportive of his idiotic spending habits.

 

I'm sure Deion Sanders went over all that crap with him, but even Deion has given up on him because it's obvious he thinks he's above this crap.

Read the article or original post.. He hadn't signed a contract yet. Dumb to buy all that crap sure but those kind of loans, often predatory, happen all the time.

 

Nope, the reason behind this, was how he reacted to the officers when they asked him to pull up his pants. He could have done what he was asked for, or just leave the mall w/o offending anybody.....

 

its a super high end mall im sure there are people shopping there that make 10 times as much as dez and at high end places you gotta be cleaned up because upper middle and upper class dont really want to see his butt or him acting like an ass
