While the Bears seem set at quarterback with Jay Cutler ready to lead the Bears in 2011 and beyond, it is likely that the Bears will look for a quarterback in the draft to provide depth and possibly take over for Cutler some time down the road. Bears General Manager Jerry Angelo told the media this week that the Bears are likely going to select a quarterback at some point in the NFL draft. “It can never be a luxury position,†Angelo said. “We know that. We’re looking hard again this year. We really want to develop our own and I really thought we had a good plan last year.†The Bears drafted a quarterback in 2010 that they had plans to groom for the future in Central Michigan’s Dan LeFevour, but had to place him on the practice squad when they signed Todd Collins. LeFevour was claimed by the Cincinnati Bengals, leaving the Bears looking for another quarterback in this year’s draft. Source: Football News Now
