Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder visited the Washington Redskins on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Ponder battled injuries last season, including a bursa sac issue with his throwing arm elbow that eventually required surgery as well as a concussion. However, the Senior Bowl Most Valuable Player is regarded as a rising draft prospect who should be in demand at the end of the first round or early second round. Ponder had a crisp throwing session at the NFL scouting combine. "Being able to comprehend everything that's going on, and the way I prepare," Ponder said at the combine. "I watch a lot of film and I'm going to be the hardest worker on my team. I really think I'm the whole package at quarterback. I have great accuracy and can make all the throws. Intelligence is a huge advantage for me, being able to comprehend offenses and defenses. We ran a complex offense at Florida State and I think it will carry over well to the NFL. I'm athletic enough to move in the pocket and make plays with my feet."
