Phillies Place Joe Blanton On DL

    The Philadelphia Phillies have put right-hander Joe Blanton on the 15-day disabled list with an elbow injury.Vance Worley will be recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start against the New York Mets on Friday night. Worley was 2-2 with a 2.78 ERA in four starts for the IronPigs.
