Eagles Have An Offer On The Table For QB Kevin Kolb

Peter King of SI.com reports Kevin Kolb doesn't want to be in Philadelphia; he wants to have a chance to get a starting job somewhere else, and Reid has promised to try to make a deal if it benefits the Eagles. He already has an offer of a first-round pick in the 2012 draft from an unknown team. The window for the 2011 league year opened and closed quickly last week; players like Kolb, who want to be traded, and free agents who want to hit the market have to wait for the league year to open before moving. That could happen this week if the Eighth Circuit forces the NFL to open doors and end the lockout. Asked how he stands with Kolb right now, Reid said: "We stand with Kevin in an Eagles uniform. We love Kevin. He's one of the great team guys we've had here. We had an idea who was interested in him entering the draft, and now we'll have to go back and look at it when they tell us we can make moves.''

I'd venture to guess his value actually went up now that the draft is over. Those teams that didn't address the position are essentially hecked.

Same feeling here. Start with teams that didn't draft a QB? You could also look at it as maybe it went down with "less need" out there with teams drafting QBs.

Either Sea or AZ. Fitz was snitching he didn't want a Rookie throwing him the ball.

I think Arizona could go with McNabb or Bulger.

I thought the cards already had something in the works with Bulger?

I really don't think Kolbs worth a first.

Do you think Cam Newton, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, or Christian Ponder are?

What I would do is offer a conditonal pick

If he doesnt start 8 games, they get a 3rd

8 games or more, they get a 2nd

If he hits certain milestones, they get a 1st

And Banner and Lurie would chuck up the middle finger.

Christian freaking Ponder, people... Do NOT tell me that Kevin Kolb is valued less than Christian freaking Ponder. Or any other QB in this draft for that matter.

He's valued alot less then Luck and Barkley

Ponder is the only one of the first round QB's I would take Kolb over, but he should have been a 2nd rounder

You know, I actually hadn't even thought about that till right now. It's a great point.

Luck is a true can't-miss, while Barkley is still faaaar from that.

But unless you think your team is potentially the worst in the league, you won't get him. Because the holder of that 1st pick won't get rid of it for anything.
