Stanford QB Andrew Luck To Tutor 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick During Lockout

While NFL coaches are unable to have contact with the rookies they drafted in late April, those players are finding other ways to get adjusted to their playbooks. In a stroke of genius, new 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will move to California and get tutored by Stanford QB Andrew Luck, who ran 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's offense for the last two seasons. Luck, who would have been a slam-dunk No. 1 overall pick had he left school early, knows Harbaugh's system well and will impart his wisdom on Kaepernick. "Especially if the lockout stays on," Kaepernick told the Sacramento Bee. "I'm going to try and pick his brain as much as I can and try to get a jump-start into this offense, and pick up as much as I can from him." Kaepernick and Luck are pals going back to meeting at a Manning Passing Academy last summer, and it's a lock that Luck will help out the Niners' new passer. That could give Kaepernick an edge in not only being ready for the season, but for taking the starting job, both Kaepernick and Luck are mobile, strong-armed passers, but Luck obviously has the better game, something that Kaepernick ultimately must improve upon himself.

Nice way for Harbaugh to communicate with Kaepernick.

I doubt that. Luck just seems like that kind of dude. Plus he's already loaded.

Good move for both, Luck can afford to throw this bone, his family has money and he has 80 mil waiting on him

There may be a new CBA that says otherwise. Regardless, it shows what kind of kid Luck is and will only help himself in the eyes of NFL Personnel.

I would say this will improve his draft stock next year, but he is about as close to a lock for #1 as their has been since Vick
