Some believe the team needs a Randy Moss-type receiver who can catch passes even when covered but the Patriots' decision to avoid a receiver shows confidence in Brandon Tate, Taylor Price and Julian Edelman, as well as TE Aaron Hernandez, who plays like a receiver. Tate didn't show the vertical speed last year the team was hoping for, and Price played in only one game. There is also the chance that the team plans to target a veteran receiver when transactions reopen, perhaps as Vincent Jackson. You think so? When he played a full season in SD he was a beast. I'd honestly try to move Hernandez to WR or something he's explosive.
but if he was playing WR he wouldn't be as explosive. What makes him special is his explosion vs. LB's and safeties. It would be wasted vs. CB's
Agree. He plays more like a WR than a TE, but if you move him to WR, he's going to be useless for the most part. I love Jackson to the Pars and hope it doesn't happen...
Unless the Pats plan on trading at least a 1st and 3rd I doubt Jackson gets traded. Chad would probably be cheaper to get (via trade and they wouldn't need to sign him long term). The Bengals might as well trade him they got a nice core of young WRs and I doubt Palmer is coming back so might as well start rebuilding.
