It might be coming down to the UFL being the only pro football we as fans will see in the fall. The problem I am having is....why should I care in the UFL? What is going to give me a reason to watch their football over reruns? Is there anyone who can make a case for why anyone should give two craps about the league and it's players? It's a league that owes creditors over $6 million. It's a league with quite possibly the worst uniforms ever (the old WLAF had some dogs but UFL takes the cake). UFL: VS WLAF: Never checked out the UFL? Check out some highlights: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1yoRqpENIE]YouTube - UFL 2010 Sizzle Reel‏[/ame] Now I understand these are all mostly undrafted free agents and ex-NFL guys who just don't have teams knocking on their door anymore. So again, why should I care? Here's their current MVP: [ame=http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1120713232936]Videos Posted by United Football League: Tuskers' QB Brooks Bollinger Wins Motorola MVP [HQ] | Facebook[/ame] Again....he was a third string QB at best in the NFL. Why should I care? Anyone?
I'd rather watch college or high school ball before the UFL. I'd rather watch the UFL than NASCAR, WWE, NBA or Soccer.
if it does come own to the UFL being the only football out there ill watch it. But you will also have collage football which is pretty good on Saturdays
My bad....your right. It's on vs. Saw a couple of games last season..... sure beats NASCAR and wrestling.
I'd rather settle for watching college football on Saturdays and playing video games on Sundays over watching the UFL. If I actually lived in a city that had a UFL team maybe I could convince myself to be interested...maybe...lol. I think with sports I either want to see the best of the best (the top pro league be it the NFL, NBA, NHL or MLB) or I can handle watching college sports and even minor league baseball where guys are playing for a spot in the big leagues one day but a league like the UFL is just always going to be 99% players who never-have-been and never-will-be. Yes maybe the occasional odd player like Dominic Rhodes has a cup of coffee there and then gets back in the NFL but that just screams exception over the rule. Give me the best or give me the young kids competing to be the best one day. Don't give me the mediocre crap in between. That is my theory.
I could see that as the case as well. Instead of making Sunday my primary day, I could switch to Saturday...
