Former Ohio State University quarterback Terrelle Pryor has now got himself an agent. The Associated Press reports that Pryor, who is skipping his senior season at OSU and avoiding a five-game suspension, "has hired high-powered agent Drew Rosenhaus and has taken steps toward making himself available for an NFL supplemental draft," the AP reports. Some of Rosenhaus' other clients include wide receivers Chad Ochiocinco and Terrell Owens. Pryor, of course, got himself into trouble at OSU for "accepting improper benefits in the form of cash and discounted tattoos from a Columbus tattoo-parlor owner," the AP notes. The NFL Network has it that most teams are projecting him to be picked in the fifth round of the supplemental draft, Rotoworld reports. Source: Yahoo! Sports
i doubt thats the consensus....theres gonna be some teams willing to spend a higher pick on him. if cam newton goes #1, vince young goes #3, tim tebow was a first rounder, kaepernick is a high 2, randle el goes in 2, matt jones is a 1st rounder, armati edwards was a 2nd rounder, and troy smith was a 5th...based on that equation pryor is a top 15 pick. however, despite being the fastest player on ohio state, have nearly identical numbers to vince young (wins vs losses, rush yards, passer rating, total TDs), having similar character concerns to cam newton, he didnt have nearly the heroic play of either and being a pampered athlere his whole life cause he was a man among boys and never had to refine his skills and did struggle to run the offense sometimes and with his downfield passing.....i would say 3rd round at the highest in the supplemental and thats if he would be willing to work at WR or TE...where i think he could be a nightmare. he should have stuck to basketball, he was amazing
NFL Films' Greg Cosell, who watches as much game tape as most coaches, took to Twitter to evaluate Terrelle Pryor's NFL prospects. And for those quick to compare Pryor to Cam Newton, there's one huge difference: CBS Sports
newton floating passes too much leaves me unimpressed with him as a passer, pryor is pretty similar to him when it comes to passing but pryor has a much slower release...its not their ability to throw the ball that separates them, its how they throw it. i think pryor in a role like jermichael finley would be a nightmare for teams to cover though...hes big, fast, and no fun to tackle
