We are coming up on an interesting year when it comes to "red flag players" entering the NFL, wheather or not its through a possible Sup Draft this summer, or players who will likley fall down the charts in next years draft.

Here is a generic senario to think about: You are a GM that just took control of a struggling franchise hurting badly for young talent. You added a few nice piece's in the past draft, but you are still going to field a bottom 5 team the next two years.(think Lions circa 2008). Now pretend for a second both Michael Floyd and Janorious Jenkins declared for this years Sup draft. In front of you, you have the ability to add two top 15, maybe even top 10 talents for the price of a 4th and a 5th. Your not drafting anyone in the 4th next years with Floyds talent, and your not drafting anyone in the 5th with Jenkins talent. Knowing the risks, do you pull the trigger on either or even both?

With these two, combined with the OSU 5, they're are going to be alot of red flagged talent entering the NFL either through a possible Sup Draft (From what I recall, Pryor is the only one intending, and Floyd and Jenkins will remain in the NCAA) and next years draft.

How would you rate the player? Use whatever criteria you want. me, Im rating based on both value and risk. And in Pryor's case, how I project the player in the NFL

    Very interested in

    OSU 4

I say "4" becuase Im excluding Pryor. And Im only really interested if they enter the Supplemental Draft. If they enter next years Draft, I dont think the same value will be there.

Mike Adams is at the top. He could be a 4th or 5th rounder in the Sup draft. Most projections Ive seen from him were as a 2nd rounder in next years draft. Not quite the steal Gaither was getting a possible top 5 talent in the 5th round

Devier Posey is another Im highly interested in. Not quite the talent that Floyd is, but for a 5th rounder you get a starting quality prospect with less actual baggage

Herron I would only be interested in if we cut BOTH Barber and Choice. Thomas I dont really know much about.

With these guys, I state that their OSU infractions are the only major flags I know of. I dont know if they are total crapheads or just got caught doing something stupid

    Nervously interested in

    Michael Floyd, Janoris Jenkins

I would consider take either on, but would do so preparing for it to blow up in my face

I consider Floyd to be a supirior WR to Dez Bryant. So personally, I would take Floyd if he lasted to the mid rounds and trade Bryant asap. Would not have both on my team.

Jenkins I would also take a 3rd round flier on, particularity in Dallas where we have a few solid CB's and a couple good prospects, but could really use that top end talent. With Mike Jenkins, Scandrick, and Josh Thomas and McCann, we wouldnt be absolutly hecked if/when Jenkins gets suspended

I wouldnt heck with your rod

    Terrelle Pryor

People comare him to Cam. Ya, I see it. But I compare him to Jamarcus Russell. Another athletic freak QB with a since of entitlement because of his immense gifts. The only difference is Pryors size/speed is his gift, and Russel's freakishly strong arm. Maybe a harsh question, but given his talent level, why hasnt pryor even sniffed the level of success Tebow had at Florida. or for that matter the level of success McNabb had at SU in now almost extinct option offense. My simple guess. Pryor is a freaking loser like Russell. Plain and simple

To me Pryor isn't worth the time or day because he's an athlete, not a QB. So either learn a new position and hope to latch on or I hope you enjoy summer football in Canada at best.

Floyd, is a headache with a crapload of talent. Are his mistakes just him being a dumb kid? Three drinking related issues are no laughing matter when it comes to someone shelling out millions for your services. He needs to put on a show this fall in Notre Dame and show everyone he's put his issues behind him before I'd consider bringing him aboard. IF he can get his crap together....someone's going to get a steal.

If heard grumbles that Floyd is a bit of a craphead, but nothing substantial other then the alcohol incidents. Brian Kelly has said he isnt lifting his suspenion until Floyd changes his behavior. But always, that could just be posturing.

Pryor WOULD have been a excellent development QB if it wasnt for the fact that he is just another entitled QB. To me he is a guy that just doesnt have the mentality to succeed as an NFL QB. Even if you get him at a "discount", your still doing so with the belief that he is your future and will put the time in to develop him, and will just wind up with another Smith

Say what you want about Cam, and im not a fan, but at least he produced on the field on an epic level. So I could see where people may have some faith in him

Janoris Jenkins is easily a first round talent, so smooth and excellent in transisition. not a physical guy, but scrappy and even though hes a weak tackler he doesnt run away from it. Hes brilliantly smooth in coverage. He was the asante samuel of this draft....i say jayron hosley is the safer pick as a player in that mold

He smokes a crap ton of weed, he really needs to stop that or his future takes a HUGE financial blow...he should in theory dominate as N Bama. I can still see him going late first to 3rd round next year.

Pryor is my dude right now, id love the steelers to drop a 4th rounder on him in the sup. I need a WOW moment every once in a while. Everyone wants to call him an "athlete" which he is a tremendous one, but hes not a bad football player either, hes a good ball carrier its just he may not be the best QB. Id take pryor in the 4th over newton #1 ANY day. I think hes a developmental QB prospect MAYBE, but a swithc to TE/WR he could truly be great and a nightmare for defenses. I would peg him as a Jermichael Finley TE and he may take 2 years to learn the position, finley was a slow developing TE but hes a monster now. i wouldnt mind the steelers cutting dixon and batch, drafting pryor and making him a TE and a 3rd QB behind leftwich, he could be great. I think he was looking pretty good in his workouts and hes doing everything right in order to prepare for the sup, his willingness to play other positions is huge for his draft stock...if he refuses to workout at other positions, hes a 6th or 7th rounder.

Mike adams is ok, but hes not the prospect people make him out to be....he cant hold crap to brewsters jock on that osu line. Sup id say 5th round, next years draft he could possibly be a 2nd or 3rd.

Floyd has been a long time man crush of mine, but hes not superior to dez as a prospect...dez fell but realistically his ceiling was #3 to TB, floyd has good body control and good hands and is a nightmare after the catch but hes very slow in and out of his cuts and DISMAL off the snap, hes really lacks the quicks that a big WR needs. I think its hard to compare floyd, i think id say braylon edwards. Dez would have crushed the world if he didnt declare early...crap blackmon crushed without him, dez could have put up one of the most impressive seasons ever that year imo.

Not crazy about the rest of the OSU guys, especially herron...bleh

The best comparison skill set wise for Floyd IMO is Fitz. Not talent, but type

You make a good point on Floyd off the snap, and that why he was considered below Green/Jones. However after haveing alot of time watching both, I think that and overall quickness is what Dez has over him as a prospect altho some things like hands are close. Where Floyd to me is a supriirior prospect is his route running, which is exceptional, and his ability to learn a system very fast. Which despite a solid season, Dez struggled at this year. Floyd played like a seasoned WR his true frosh year at ND, and was a reliable option from the start, and then thrived in a different scheme last year. For that reason, I would call Floyd an instant OROY contender whenever he gets drafted

Me too. Wouldnt be a massive gamble as our CB depth isnt lacking quality players, just quality starters not counting Newman. Scan can start, but is better of in the Nickle

That the reason I would gamble on. Him. We are very thin at cb imo an this gamble could pay off

floyd needs to run a good time too....and i get the fitz comparison, im not crazy about it though cause fitz has the quickness that floyd lacks.

you completely wrote off dez bryant as a ROY canididate, i dont get how you can instantly thrust floyd into that category, dez was a freaking monster? it seems like he wont be entering the sup, and he really needs to stay out of trouble, stay healthy and have a big year...i really need to see more from him, i dont think hes the prosepct your making him out to be....i really loved him as a freshman, thought he was a man child and CLEARLY better than golden tate but lately im starting to think hes not all i was hyping him up to be...this year is gonna be important for him

Floyd in reality had a slow JR year, and alot of that was adjusting to a new scheme. He wasn't the monster he was as a sophmore. Heading into his JR year, I veiwed him as a top 5 candidate, but while his play and numbers were good, it wasnt up to par with pre injury 2009 where he was just embarrassed every CB he faced

I'd gamble on Jenkins I don't really get the hype on Pryor and think 4th round is the earliest he can go.
