Four dogs owned by NFL star Joey Porter got loose early July 2 from his northwest Bakersfield residence and killed a neighbor's dog. Porter was cited for not having the dogs on a leash, county Animal Control spokeswoman Kim Rodriguez said. She said it was unclear how the dogs got out of their kennel. Rodriguez said she doesn't know what kind of arrangement Porter reached with the neighbor whose dog was killed. He appeared upset about what had happened and apologized to the neighbor. Not surprising that Porter was one of the vocal defenders of Michael Vick who thought that dog fighting stuff was a big deal about nothing. I suppose when you raise dogs to murder other dogs, you would think that way.
