Heavily fined Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison calls NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a “crook†and a “devil,†among other insults, in a magazine article. The 2008 AP Defensive Player of the Year hasn’t been shy about ripping the league after he was docked $100,000 for illegal hits last season. In the August issue of Men’s Journal, his rants against Goodell reach another level of wrath. “If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn’t do it,†Harrison told the magazine. “I hate him and will never respect him.†His other descriptions of the commissioner include an anti-gay slur, “stupid,†‘’puppet†and “dictator.†If the Steelers had defeated the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl, Harrison said, he would have whispered in Goodell’s ear during the trophy ceremony: “Why don’t you quit and do something else, like start your own league in flag football?†Harrison also criticizes other NFL execs, Patriots-turned-commentators Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi (â€clownsâ€), Houston’s Brian Cushing (â€juiced out of his mindâ€) — and even teammates Rashard Mendenhall and Ben Roethlisberger for their performances in the Super Bowl loss. goodell keeps fining him, he keeps paying them. id rather hear james harrison rant all day then hear mendenhall tell us why 911 didnt happen and all his religeous BS. harrison unloaded on ben and mendenhall for their performance in the superbowl...cant say whether thats a good move or a bad move but i dont mind it
lol...Exactly what Goodell should do. Then we'd get more Harrison quotes! He pretty much speaks the truth. Speaks for the people...the majority of which dislike Goodell but are afraid to say it. Can't wait until Goodell invites James to New York for a meeting. Keep preaching it James. Keep the fines coming Roger.
I can't stand Goodell, but Harrison doesn't need to speak for the people, if people that have opinions can't buck up and say what they feel who is Harrison to speak for them? He needs to shut the heck up, I'm sick of his snitching and whinning...He's pissed because some of those fines were bogus but to constantly calls Goodell names doesn't do anything but make him look ridiculous.....like on a grade school playground where you're mad so you call your teacher names, childish!!!
I agree, Sweets. Harrison should stop whining about each and every time he gets fined. some were justified, others not. We get that. Be pissed off, but to continuously carry this nonsense on like a elementary school child is ridiculous.
