The Baltimore Ravens have informed running back Willis McGahee that he will be released, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Teams can officially begin waiving players and terminating contracts at 4:01pm ET on Thursday, July 28. A former first-round pick out of the University of Miami by the Buffalo Bills in 2003, McGahee ran for 3,365 yards and 24 touchdowns in three seasons with the Bills (McGahee spent his rookie season recovering from knee surgery) before he was dealt to the Ravens for a package of draft picks. Over the last four seasons, McGahee has 2,802 yards and 31 touchdowns on the ground, earning Pro Bowl honors following the 2007 season. With Ray Rice emerging as one of the top running backs in the NFL, McGahee's high price tag ($6 million base salary) no longer meshes with his role on the team. Source: macsfootballblog
Def. not. The guy can still play. I could see him going to Denver. McGahee and Williams would be a lethal combo.
Think there might be room for him with Jackson? If he and Jackson can coexist that might be a scary tandem.
No sir.. I think if Williams is brought in then Moreno is gone. And the whole McGahee idea was mainly a Madden fantasy.. lol
