Cowboys have cut Marion Barber, according to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Cowboys running back Marion Barber rolled into the parking lot at Valley Ranch shortly after 11:30 a.m. today to meet with owner Jerry Jones and team officials and was seen leaving the parking lot at about 12:10 p.m. Jones said this morning that he's making contact with each player the Cowboys plan to cut today so that they won't be at training camp when the team reports in San Antonio on Wednesday. All along, Barber was expected to be one the of the players the Cowboys cut in an effort to get under the $120.4 million salary cap. Right now, the Cowboys are about $18 million over the cap.
