The Denver Broncos are in serious trade discussions with the Miami Dolphins regarding quarterback Kyle Orton, an NFL source confirmed. Orton, meanwhile, has reported to the Broncos' team facility with the expectation that he will attend John Fox's training camp opening team meeting at 4 p.m. today. Orton was the Broncos' starting quarterback the past two years, throwing 41 touchdown passes against 21 interceptions. But because he senses the franchise is ready to go forward with second-year quarterback Tim Tebow, Orton has asked to be traded. The Broncos have said they won't give him away, that they would keep Orton if they don't get what they deem to be fair value in return.

Orton might not be the player they think he is, remember the 1 that battled Rex for playing time. McDaniels had a high powered Offense that put up a lot of yards& not very many wins, i'm just sayin.

deal is held up because dolphins are reportedly only offering a 4th or 5th and broncos want 2nd or 3rd.

If you pay attention you would realize that Denver lost due to a terrible defense. Orton did that with no weapons, no running game, no good check down option, no offensive line. Will Orton be a Brady or Manning? No, but he is a good QB that won't lose a game.

Why would Orton go to Miami? It's not a lay up that he would start. Henne is bigger and can take a hit. Orton...not so much. Henna has a stronger arm as well...so if Orton went there, it wouldn't be a definite he could beat out Henne. I think Orton balking on this deal is the hold up...

Not surprised at all...didn't think he would go there. I think Washington would be a nice fit for Orton...and he'd be able to start right away. Thing about Denver though is that the organization has to give Tebow reps to see what he's about...see if he's worth the investment...

I like the garbage they got penciled in over there in DC. Don't go filling their heads with this Orton business.

Don't know what Denver was asking for, but Matt Moore is not Kyle Orton. They did not upgrade the position, only provided a little bit more competition for Henne in TC.

From what I was read the Broncos wanted a 2nd and possibly another draft pick.
