In a move they telegraphed months ago, the Tennessee Titans officially released QB Vince Young on Thursday, the first day teams could officially cut players. A two-time Pro Bowler, Young ended last season on injured reserve with a thumb injury and had a well-publicized blowup with former head coach Jeff Fisher after his final appearance. Titans owner Bud Adams announced after last season that Young would not return, seeming to signal that Fisher would be back, but the coach and team mutually parted weeks later. The third pick of the 2006 draft, Young had early success in his career but his career passer rating of 75.7 and completion rate of 57.9% illustrate the holes in his game. His maturity and work ethic were challenged at times by Fisher, and he was benched in favor of Kerry Collins for virtually the entire 2008 season. Source: USA Today
With Orton maybe going to Miami,Mcnabb going to Minny and Kolb going to Arizona. Olny stop for Young is in Buffalo..Smh,poor guy....
Don't sleep on the Eagles. There was a tweet on Vince's page from his friend saying good luck in Philly and then it was removed.
PLEASE DON'T SIGN VINCE YOUNG!! I'm hoping that Al Davis throws a TON of money at this guy. I lived through Jeff Blake and Doug Pederson. When Vick gets hurt and takes his 3 week vacation this year I DON'T want Young in there. I'm ALL for Mike Kafka!
I see nothing wrong with this. Sure he's a headcase, but you know it is a low risk move, he's a vet, and he's won games.
and even not knowing the WCO, he's better insurance for Vick than Kafka. Kafka is at least 2 years away from being traded for a 2nd round pick and a pro bowl player.
Ha! I heckin love it! And yeah, putting it on Kafka woulda been a bad thing. Young really is the best play we had.
