The foot injury that kept Michael Crabtree out of player-run practices in June is more serious than previously believed, and the 49ers' top wideout could miss four to six weeks of training camp and the preseason, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. That's why the 49ers were in the running for veteran wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, who was traded from Cincinnati to New England earlier today. The 49ers will continue to pursue a veteran receiver on the free-agent market who could perhaps start opposite Josh Morgan when the season begins. The exact nature of the injury is not known and the 49ers did not return calls Thursday night. Crabtree, who had surgery to correct a stress fracture in his left foot early in 2009, reinjured that foot on June 6, the first day of a player-run minicamp.

Sure does and it isn't looking to get better any time soon. Actually if the Yorks sell the team, and Carmen Policy comes back and runs the team things may look up again.

Ha, its normal for him to be hurt and whiney. I told you guys during the first story of his "shoes being too tight " that he was gonna show up hurt again or not be able to live up to the contract that he sat out for. Honestly Jones isn't the answer either. He couldn't even carry a number 3 role "sure handedly" lol no pun intended..but everyone expects him to be some save all #1 or #2 receiver. He has the potential but there is no way with alex smith throwing the ball that he puts up numbers that he did with rodgers,

this is exactly what I was thinking
All signals are full red, right now.

No backfield, no good addition of players (non addition at all, in fact), baas, spikes, laboy leaving, goldson and lawson on their way to do the same thing, gore holding out, mr Douchebag Crabtree hurt again, :icon_cry:

please, just give one reason, only one, to be optimistic regading the upcoming season !!!
