Ravens And RB Ricky Williams Agree To A 2-Year, $4M Deal

After seven seasons in Miami, Ricky Williams is headed north. Ricky Williams is headed to Baltimore to back up Ray Rice. ESPN is reporting that the veteran running back agreed to a two-year deal with the Ravens on Monday worth $4 million. Williams had appeared in every game for the Dolphins over the last three years, recording 2,453 yards and 17 touchdowns in the process.

He wont be an every down back. I figure he will get about 10-12 touches a game. He will be fine IMO.

Really like this move, better compliment to Rice then Mcgahee for a fraction of the price.

 

Williams is a pretty low-mileage 30+ RB ala Fred Jackson...the guys got alot left in the tank; especially as a Goal Line change of pace guy. Loved watching him in his CFL stint.
