  1. On the mend from a knee injury, wide receiver Mark Clayton is set to work out for the New England Patriots on Friday. According to a league source, Clayton has made a sound recovery from tearing his patellar tendon in his right knee last year and is on the verge of being ready to play again. He recently visited the St. Louis Rams. In his first game with the Rams, Clayton caught 10 passes for 119 yards. He was placed on injured reserve after the fifth week of the regular season.

  3. If his knee checks out......why not?

You saw Philly snatching Steve Smith away and he had knee issues as well. Clayton was on a tear before going down after 5 games last season.

I think the "why" is..why do they need him, lol.

  5. Did Philly really need Smith?

Only because of Jeremy Maclin's illness......but also, you can never have enough good receivers.

I guess. Maybe Mark sees it as a chance to win the SB.

Yea I was saying why do we need him? We have Welker, Branch, Ocho, Taylor Price, Gronkowski, and Hernandez. Welker speaks for himself. Branch is a natural fit in the Pats system and looked good last year. Ocho will be a good fit and put up big numbers if he stays focused. Taylor Price is a second year guy who has showed huge abillity. He could be the #2 guy. Gronkowski is a great receiving TE. Hernandez is a TE who fits as a WR. And you add Julian Edelman, who fits into that Welker mold. He underperformed while Welker was hurt, but he can still play. I just don't see the need for Mark Clayton.

  8. I wish we had that problem.......

Lol. I bet a lot of teams wish they had that problem. I'm just glad that my team isn't one that wishes.
