Colts QB Kerry Collins' Contract Is A Two-Year, $14M Deal

  1. Technically, the Indianapolis Colts signed Kerry Collins to a two-year, $14 million contract. Practically, the cost of Peyton Manning's insurance policy is $4 million for the 2011 season. On Wednesday, Collins told local media he signed a one-year deal. In fact, the contract is two years in duration. Collins got a $2.5 million signing bonus and has a 2011 base salary of $1.5 million. The 2012 portion of the contract calls for Collins to earn a base salary of $10 million.

Damn. Not bad to sit behind PM

  3. It's basically a one-year deal......a two-year deal makes it easier on the salary cap.

Those 14 mill or 10 mill mean nothing after the first season Colts will dump Collins and he will never see that money.... This is such a non-story its silly

$2.5 to sign his name? I'd like this story to be about me.

Yeah. I'd take 2.5 Mill for this story to hold my name in it. Hell, I'd take 1.5 Mill
