it's only been a few days, let's give the guy a little more time, he has been in the league since the beginning and has always been active.

Can I say heck no to the trade that just went through? That crap is ridiculous. Is there no league veto option or what? I am not under any circumstances okay with it.

    Schaub and Mike Williams (TB)

    for

    Stafford and Mike Thomas

Top 10 in both positions for a #3 fantasy wideout (being generous) and an unproven injury-prone borderline starter.

Stafford is going to be a top 3 QB. Schaub won't have to have the year he did last year because his defense will be better. Tampa's offense is going to have a regress year because teams know how to rattle Freeman. And Thomas is going to catch 85-90 passes this year.

i do kinda think stafford puts up huge numbers, but damn mike williams for mike thomas....ugh

Yeah I was hammered last night. I still maintain that its a bad trade but whatever, if all the parties are happy heck it.

All of those assumptions require huge leaps of faith. Stafford has the POTENTIAL to be a top QB but is pretty unproven, has played in like a 3rd of his games thus far and is coming off surgery to his throwing arm. Even if Schaub does have a "down" year its still likely to be top-10 with the people he has around him. I dont see how you arrived at the assumption about Tampa, but okay. Williams is a beast and has nowhere to go but up, he's an easy #1 fantasy starter. Thomas is getting moved to the outside and has nobody else around him to take defensive pressure off of him, I HIGHLY doubt he gets those catch numbers and even then he's not going to touch Williamses overall yardage or TDs. Like I said, if youre okay with it then whatever but youre getting soundly hecked in the deal.

football trades are harder to call lopsided than in other sports because so much is speculation and injuries are so much more a factor than other sports. I still say this one was shady at best.

I vetoed it. Seem's weird that a guy would trade his 2nd and 3rd round picks for guys that were drafted by JJ in rounds 13 and 15, meaning he had 12+ rounds to draft these guys that he all of a sudden feels so highly of.

If he didn't like schaub or williams that much, why draft them with 2 of his first three picks, and if he liked thomas and stafford, why not draft them in the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th even 13th or 14th for Thomas

Hammers even took Matt Ryan as a backup qb, and 4 Defensive guys when he could have easily had Stafford or Thomas. If he thinks Stafford is THAT good, why not draft him where he drafted Ryan? doesn't make much sense, like the trade.

I think for this fact alone this trade should be vetoed.

check that, hammers traded two of his KEEPERS for JJ's 13th and 15th round picks!! Then drafted almost all of his WR's and backup QB when any of those picks could have been stafford or thomas. Why keep them in the first place?

It's like Ktrain trading Brady and Petersen for McNabb and Hines Ward

The best part, Hammers kept Schaub and did not Keep Stafford who was on his team, then traded schaub for Stafford. Why not just keep Stafford in the first place?

I didn't want Schaub but I had no other options for keepers. Veto the trade and I will work with JJ to make it better for you guys.
