Ex-Cowboys QB Troy Aikman Hints He May Hit Skip Bayless For Spreading Gay Rumors

Troy Aikman has a long memory, at least when it comes to Skip Bayless. Bayless, a former Dallas sports columnist, wrote a book about the Dallas Cowboys that was published in 1996, when Aikman was the team's star quarterback. In the book, Bayless famously speculated -- without providing a shred of evidence -- that Aikman might be gay. This week, Aikman was asked about the episode on BaD Radio, the afternoon talk show on The Ticket (1310 AM). After saying -- rather gratuitously -- "I'm not so sure Skip's not gay," Aikman made it clear that he still bears a grudge. "When a guy like that comes out and, whether it's intimated or stated, and there's no substance to that claim, and he's doing it purely to gain interest in a book, that's a problem.," he said. Aikman then added: "I will tell you this. I've not seen -- I've not physically seen Skip Bayless since that time. That was in '95. And I still kind of wonder what I might do to him when I do see him." "You certainly will say something," McDowell said. "Oh, yeah. Yeah," Aikman replied. "But you don't think it will get physical, do you?" McDowell said. "Well, I mean, I don't know. I don't know," Aikman said.

Skip doesn't provide any evidence other than what he has heard 2nd hand.

I don't blame Troy for being mad, but the dude needs to get over it. This is something that should of been dealt with years ago.

Before he went to San Jose, he was a writer here in Dallas.

I just finished reading a book titled Boys Will Be Boys, by Jeff Pearlman. In it, there was a joke about Bayless. It said, "Do you know how to drive Skip Bayless crazy?" The answer was, "Take the letter I out of his PC."

BTW, I hope Troy punches Bayless out. Bayless only said Troy was gay to boost sales of his book. Shameful.

 

Poor baby, letting the big, bad Skip Bayless get under his skin. Since he's still bothered by it, maybe he could be gay? Not to agree with Skip Bayless. (IGod forbid) I hate him as much as the next person. I just think if he was 100% straight, he would have got over Skip Bayless calling him gay.
