A Sports Illustrated report Monday quoted Tiki Barber’s agent, Mark Lepselter, as saying he is “flabbergasted that Tiki has not had an opportunity with any team, especially when rosters were at 90 players this year. I certainly thought some team would be intrigued to see what he had left in the tank." The SI reporter added, ‘I hear he’s devastated that no team gave him a chance.’’ Lepselter countered that characterization. “That is not correct,’’ he told The Post yesterday. “I never said he was devastated. That term never came out of my mouth.’’ The former Giants record-setting running back, Barber, 36, hasn’t played since the 2006 season and hoped to return to football this season, working himself into shape by going back to his rigid training regime. He had a workout with the Dolphins but no other team has taken a look at him. Teams could be waiting until after the first game of the season, when contracts are no longer guaranteed, but it certainly could be the case that Barber will not get back into the league. “This is the last time I am speaking on this subject in any way, shape or form.’’ Lepselter said. “You can’t worry about the things in life you can’t control and Tiki has moved forward accordingly.’’ Source: NY Post
Yeah, right. I'm pretty sure he was crying because he needs that paycheck because supposedly he's broke.
He's a piece of crap and doesn't deserve another chance. Good luck paying your child support butthole.
He's an butthole, through and through. He's a snitch for ditching his family. The guy doesn't deserve anything more than a baseball bat to the head.
Well looks like its back to broadcasting.... oh wait they don't you either. Maybe you can go home to your family.... oh wait no you can't cause you cheated on your wife Maybe you can..... Please just go away!
I dont think away wants him either. I dont think it's too much. The dude ran out on his pregnant wife. That's low.
sounds to me that he really is in desperate of money and need some cash. but i don't think he will get it
Barber hecked up any chance at the HOF when he retired in 2007....two or three more seasons at the level he was playing at......and he could have very well been on his way to Canton. Plus he would've had a Super Bowl ring to go along with his resume. And this development will likely end any chance of even being in the HOF discussions after his failed comeback attempt.
