As the New York Giants look forward to opening their season against the Washington Redskins on Sunday a familiar name has dragging up bad memories from the past. Plaxico Burress blasted head coach Tom Coughlin and quarterback Eli Manning in an interview with Men’s Journal magazine. The now New York Jets receiver seemed especially upset by Coughlin’s comments following his accidental shooting and subsequent arrest. “After my situation happened, I turned on the TV, and the first words out his mouth was ‘sad and disappointing.’ †Burress told the magazine, per the Newark Star-Ledger. “I’m like, forget support — how about some concern? I did just have a bullet in my leg. And then I sat in his office, and he pushed back his chair and goes, ‘I’m glad you didn’t kill anybody!’ Man, we’re paid too much to be treated like kids. He doesn’t realize that we’re grown men and actually have kids of our own.†Burress fired back at Coughlin when comparing him to his new head coach Rex Ryan. “He’s not a real positive coach,†he said of his former coach. “You look around the league, the Raheem Morrises and Rex Ryans — when their player makes a mistake, they take ’em to the side and say, ‘We’ll get ’em next time.’ But Coughlin’s on the sideline going crazy, man. I can’t remember one time when he tried to talk a player through not having a day he was having.†As for Manning, Burress claims his support of the quarterback was a one-sided affair. “I was always his biggest supporter, even days he wasn’t on, ’cause I could sense he didn’t have thick skin,†Burress stated. “Then I went away, and I thought he would come see me, but nothing, not a letter, in two years. I don’t want to say it was a slap in the face, but I thought our relationship was better than that.†Source: Football News Now
GOT DAMN! He's really going ham on them, especially with this quote "You still mad at your job? You still angry about your life? ’Cause I’m back living my life and enjoying my family while you’re still doing the same thing."
You were walking around with a gat. You're too damn stupid to know how to operate it and you shot yourself in the leg. You want someone to coddle you for that? To show concern? Please, snitch.
Maybe he forgot those fans weren't in jail and had access to their families while he was getting his salad and bunk tossed. I like how he threw Eli under the bus, for all we know they never had a great relationship. Coughlin was right, thank god he didn't kill anyone. Why should he show concern for some asswipe that tucks an unregistered in the state of NJ or NY, handgun into the waste band of his sweatpants. What everyone owes Plax? Plax owes that whole 2008-2009 team something.....they were absolutely demolishing teams in 2008, they were likely headed back to the Superbowl and he single handedly, shot them in the foot by shooting himself in the leg.
It amazes me how people could ever like this piece of crap even before he shot himself. May have been a good player, but there is nothing likable at all about the guy.
He's better off b/c he went to jail? Lol... Eli's still doing the samething...making millions playing QB for the Giants and living the good life...lol.
