Raiders rookie QB Terrelle Pryor‘s hearing to appeal his five-game suspension will take place Thursday, according to a source with knowledge of the situation. The suspension, handed down by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell upon declaring Pryor eligible for the Aug. 22 supplemental draft, is for the same number of games that QB would have missed had he stayed at Ohio State. Pryor gave up his final season with the Buckeyes after an investigation into the team’s memorabilia-for-cash scandal cost coach Jim Tressel his job. Tressel was hired by the Colts as a day-of-game consultant but won’t begin his duties until the seventh game of the season. Pryor and his representatives had expressed mixed messages as to if the QB would appeal his suspension, but they ultimately decided to file. Source: NFL.com
I hope he gets freaking buried. twinky was even the bagman for the Trio of OSU players that had to miss 2 games because of accepting inappropriate gifts that TP hand delivered. .
I've said it before and I'll say it again... NEVER has the NFL punished a player for something he allegedly did in college... Three big names come to mind - R. Bush, Deion Sanders, Eric twinkyerson.... Oh and AJ Green, whose story is very similar to Pryor's... Just that he finished his Senior year after being suspended for 4 college games.
What he did in college was crapty but this is not Goodell's place to suspend him. On second thought Goodell thinks the sun shines and sets on his and the NFL's asses so he probably thinks it's his God-given right to hand down this suspension.
FWIW I didn't mean Pryor's college indiscretions should have any impact on Goodell's decision just pointing out his character (or lack there of). He knew after everything he had been through handing those kids $200 cash was against the NCAA rules. He's a craphead of a person and should be treated as such.
