Michael Vick has come all the way back from prison to star in the NFL again. But he apparently still won't win a popularity contest among the league's fans. Forbes.com reported Monday that Vick is the NFL's most disliked player, according to a poll by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research. Second on the list was New York Jets receiver Plaxico Burress at 56 percent, who also has returned from a prison stay, followed by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who was accused of sexual assault last year but wasn't charged. New England Patriots defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, who disappointed with the Washington Redskins after signing a $100 million contract before his trade to New England, came in at No. 4 at 46 percent and Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, who had his toughness questioned after leaving the last season's NFC Championship Game early with an injury, finished fifth at 38 percent. The rest of the top 10: Patriots receiver Chad Ochocinco (35 percent), Eagles backup QB Vince Young (32 percent), Oakland Raiders QB Carson Palmer (31 percent) and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Carolina Panthers tight end Jeremy Shockey, who both were at 29 percent. so, according to this, the 3 most hated players have all faced recent legal problems but animal cruelty and reckless gun activity are both worse and deserve to be hated more than raping a woman ? people are so stupid............. and vick and burress both did their time for their stupidity (which didn't include harming another human) but we still 'hate' them?
It's a Forbes poll. Let's be honest here. How many actual football fans read or give a crap about Forbes Magazine in ANY WAY? Vick and Burress did their time and paid their price and at least Vick since then has done a crap ton to try and get back in the publics good graces which he shouldn't have to at all. I agree with Captain though. People value animals WAY too much in our society and even though I hate what Vick did, he's learned and isn't doing it anymore. And as for Burress. He was a wannabe thug and paid the price. He didn't rape 2 chicks and then walk due to circumstantial bullcrap. Sometimes I really dislike this country but in the end again, it's Forbes.
Circumstantial bullcrap like say DNA tests? Lol... The only players these people that read Forbes magazines know about are the ones that make headline news in a bad way.
Wasn't it that there wasn't enough 'evidence' to do a dna test on? I don't recall any test being done, but that there wasn't enough for there to be a test.
Michael Vick, Plaxico Burress, Ben Roethlisberger, Albert Haynesworth, Jay Cutler, Chad Ochocinco, Vince Young, Carson Palmer, Tony Romo, and Jeremy Shockey probably don't give a heck.
