I like that young talent is being pushed but I still don't like Jessie Sorenson, thats seriously all they have for a FACE wrestler in the x-division? I dunno this card just isn't doing it for me. I'll still be watching though.
They need a complete and total over haul and there's only 1 person that can fix this crap and he'd NEVER EVER come to TNA. We all know who i'm talking about. With the no compete's that have recently expired I wonder if any old E'ers show up tomorrow night? Melina perhaps? That's honestly the only one that makes sense.
Problem with TNA is they care more about their TV ratings than in their PPV's. They have some good matches on the card but in the end it will probably be yet another PPV by TNA that will end up with a pathetic buyrate. It's too bad, they actually have been putting out some good stuff of late. I just hope the bad buyrate won't put TNA in panic mode and bury all the young guys they are starting to work with.
Well with booking like this, you have to give it awhile you just can't panic and go back to what wasn't working.
As long as Hogan and Biscoff are tied to TNA, they will always push the over the hill no talent hacks. its why i stopped watching TNA after giving it two years
I don't mind wheeling out the old geezers once in a while for the cheap pop but at least the spotlight isn't on them anymore. They do however have the best actual wrestling matches on TV. Amazing what they give away for free.
I enjoy TNA I like the alternative. WWE dropped the ball big when they had all this hype and popularity again after the Punk promo, went right back to normal...nothing changed. OH Zack Ryder is now a main event jobber now, instead of a non tv jobber. TNA is atleast pushing new talent now, the show is based around Fortune splitting up and Roode is the world champion. The TV title is being mentioned again, X-division getting TV title, Knockouts are being used more. Things are moving slow but atleast it's a change, once Bischoff and his son's angle is over, maybe we'll be threw with that BS. I have to say though, if ROH had national TV like say on Spike then I'd say ROH knocks TNA out, ROH's wrestling is ten times better but there characters somewhat lack and some of there storylines are pretty awful or lame, or you just don't care. I found out the reason Jessie Sorenson is signed..and being pushed is because back in college, Garrett Bischoff was his roomate...go figure.
WWE sure did drop the ball with the whole CM Punk angle. You know what I love about TNA of late? Austin Aries. What a great heel he is. His mannerisms are great. They can and should rebuild the X division around him.
He was in TNA a few years ago actually as "Austin Starr" he was good then too, but when he went back to ROH after he repackaged himself winning the ROH title the second time he really hit his mark with this "Greatest Man That Ever Lived" gimmick, he is just a damn good wrestler too. I'm getting the PPV tonight, I hope it's awesome.
You know, whatever the reason Sorenson is there I think there's money to be made with him. They just need to develop him more instead of just being "that high school football guy from Texas" crap that is literally all we know about him.
Not an bad ppv but not a great one either. Felt kinda like just a super impact actually. Some good matches.
Spoiler Robbie E defeated Eric Young to become the new TV champ Mexican America & Sarita defeated Ink Inc. & Toxxin Austin Aries defeated Sorensen and Kid Kash to retain the X division title RVD defeated Christopher Daniels Crimson and Matt Morgan ended in a double DQ...........what? Technically ends Crimson's winning streak since a DQ is a loss. Way to suck TNA. And I bet they don't even acknowledge it. Mr. Anderson & Abyss defeated Bully Ray & Scott Steiner Gail Kim defeated Velvet Sky Jeff Hardy defeated Jeff Jarrett....3 times? Bobby Roode defeated AJ Styles Sounds goobered...all of it.
Yep, that's the gist of what I got when I watched up to the RVD/Daniels match. They just dont care about their PPVs it seems. Why not give people something worth paying for? I don't get it....
I like that the younger talent is getting a chance, but when you announce your MAIN EVENT 3 days before the show? Kinda makes it seem less important right? Lets see how they build this up on iMPACT!
