maybe now the silly talk that djax is not a HUGE part of the eagles offense can stop now ? a jackass at times ? no doubt but he is too important to rod around with contract wise to the point that you sign a POS like steve smith instead of putting that money towards a player this important.

well i'm not a cap expert but the eagles are $5.9mil under the cap right now and can roll a big amount of that if not all into next years pool. right now its estimated that the eagles are at $19mil ($101mil in payroll vs a $120mil cap) without any of this years money calculated into that figure. they will have enough money.
As I said in the other thread, it's great that Vince Young can get him involved and all... but if the $100,000,000 man can't find a way to feed him and get him in the game, it means nothing. That's the DeSean we should be seeing every week. And whether it's his effort or Vick's inability to find him, it doesn't do us any good dropping cash for a guy that won't put up the numbers.
again, i say he is putting up numbers, just not with the flashy plays as in the past. look at his stats, he is on pace for typical year. bottom line is he is too valuable beyond his personal stats to let go. case and point - the passing game did rod last week without him. the middle of the field was closed up. this week there's no maclin, no vick and yet the passing game thrived. i agree vick is definitely part of the problem. he has missed jackson on at least a couple long plays that i can remember that couldve easily been 6points.
