Aaron Wilson of Profootball.scout.com reports the Kansas City Chiefs have cut offensive tackle Jared Gaither in the wake of a false start penalty against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to a league source. Gaither signed a one-year contract with the Chiefs prior to this season. After visiting the Oakland Raiders earlier in free agency, former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither wound up with their AFC West rival: the Kansas City Chiefs. Source: The Redzone
id take him in a heartbeat lol. i remember back in the day when Jihad Joe called him the best OT in the league
Really Chiefs, you are going to blame that loss on his false start penalty... You had every chance to win that game aside from that penalty. The Steelers looked pretty crappy the whole game. No one is going to want to come to KC if the work environment is like that. I would be questioning D Bowe about his chicken arm attempt at catching that last pass before I start blaming an O-Lineman that was in for 1 damn play.
Haley's hearing the pitter patter of a new coaches feet trying to sneak up on him. That whole staff needs purging right now. .
I remember liking the way he grinded with that booty on me. But I dont think I ever went that far. Might of called him the best young OT. At the time pre Thoman, Long and Oher, it would be fairly accurate Off Topic........per PFF, fourth best OT and best RT in the NFL = Tyron Smith :icon_cheesygrin:
nah i think you said top 5ish, but still....big man fall hard. and off topic tyron smith should win OROY, wont ever happen but hes legit top 5 RT right now and hes not even 21 yet i dont think. Dalton and Newton are playing well, but not even close to as dominant as smith. thought the same thing about mangold back then, its a shame they never win the award
I wonder what's really going on. If Gaither was really up to full speed, there is no way he'd ever be behind Barry freaking Richardson. My guess is he's healthy, so he might just be sandbagging it.
Its a good year for an OROY race. 2 good QB's, a few good WR's. I think Murray is the only HB deserving any consideration tho Gaither may have been the most impressive size/athletism combo Ive seen at the position in a while. Realy a man of his size shouldnt be able to play LT into days NFL where teams want a D'brickishaw Fergeson type to handle DE's with wideout speed Always a little lazy with the technique and in general ( a big reason why Oher was the superior player) and you combine that with back issue.......It can be done that quick
