Jason Garrett said he had no problem with Jerry Jones paying him a visit on the sideline early in the first quarter of Saturday's 20-7 loss to Philadelphia according to Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News. The owner's chat with the head coach created a stir. Jones left his suite at Cowboys Stadium to talk to Garrett after Tony Romo went to the locker room early in the first quarter with a bruised right hand. Jones said he made the trip to inform Garrett that X-rays on Romo's hand were negative and that the New York Giants had defeated the New York Jets, preventing Dallas from clinching the NFC East with a win over Philadelphia. “It's not a big issue to me at all,†Garrett said. “We are a team. We are a team as players, coaches and personnel people and certainly our general manager and owner ... And we feel communication is important. Yeah, I'm sure the owner needed to come all the way down from his luxury box to give the coach a message that any sideline peon could have relayed. C'mon man...
Jones has been doing this since day 1. Garrett seen it with Johnson and all the other coaches. I am positive he didn't think he would be any different.
