Cardinals Plan To Keep QB Kevin Kolb Another Year

Quarterback Kevin Kolb didn't have the season that many imagined he would for the Arizona Cardinals after he signed a five-year contract worth up to $63 million following an off season trade from the Philadelphia Eagles. But the Cardinals don't intend on backtracking from the their big off season move after Kolb's first year with the team. Kolb will remain with the team in 2012 despite a looming $7 million roster bonus owed to him in March, sources told the Arizona Republic. The signal-caller's future with the Cardinals came into question after a 1-6 start with the team and a turf toe injury and concussion that have sidelined him for six starts. John Skelton has flourished in Kolb's stead, compiling a 5-2 record in games he has started or played.

    Can't say I didn't imagine that he'd have a subpar season. He's not a great fit for Whisenhunt's offense...

I never thought very highly of Kolb, I never saw all the fuss about him really but with what the Cards gave up you def need to give him another year, another with some OTA's and just another year of learning the offense.

  9. seems like no one thought Kolb was much good except a few NFL teams.

the cards gave up so much for Kolb, they can't fathom getting rid of him already and admitting they hecked up royally.
