Tony Romo was hurting after the game, but it had nothing to do with his hand. Romo’s injured right hand still was swollen and discolored eight days after he hit it on the helmet of an Eagles defensive end, but the pain Romo felt had nothing to do with the hand and everything to do with the 31-14 loss to the Giants, which ended the Cowboys’ season. “It was there, and you have to deal with it,â€￾ Romo said. “You adjusted all week. I didn’t think that had any bearing on the outcome of the football game.â€￾ Romo went 29-for-37 for 289 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. In the first half, he was 10 of 12 passes for only 91 yards against a relentless Giants pbutt. Romo went 19-for-25 for 198 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in hurry-up mode in the second.

The offense hasn't been the problem for the last few years. Defensive secondary has killed us for far to many years.

It didn't look like his hand to me, either.

I believe that the issue was somewhere in Tony's throat area because he was choking out there when it mattered yet again.

Yeah he choked alright, cause he's the one that tried to start with a running threat at the beginning of the game that wasn't going anywhere. He's the one who got hurdled on 3rd down twice, and allowed victor cruz to make play after play. He's the one who committed penalties when we actually made plays. [actually he did once, but had he not broke 3 tackles that play, he wouldn't of had the chance to do that]. Just a dumb statement. Your team won, move on and worry about the playoffs now. I like how he isn't allowing his hand as an excuse. It was still swollen as heck.

Isn't it funny that whenever this over rated chump sucks a big fat one there's some reason that he's "not blaming." He's either the unluckiest mother hecker in the world or he just plain sucks.

    I'm taking the latter.

Ya, we really need a CB because Romo was getting burnt all day

    He did -- again.

Listen... the guy has skills that are as good as some of the top quarterbacks, BUT he can't put together a full game when it really, REALLY matters. That's how he's been for the majority of his career -- and it's not like he hasn't had talent around him either.

I honestly think Romo could be a great QB (on paper, his stats say that he is), but the reason he's not considered one is because of nights like last night. The pretty stats don't matter if you can't put the team on your back every once and a while and pull out a big win.

he cant be a great qb. great ones don't choke consistently like he does. He just doesn't have the it factor. He would be a very good back up. He just doesn't have the look of a starting quarterback. He looks like he is lost at times. He makes poor decisions on and off the field. I just don't know. He just doesn't seem into the game. I have forced myself to watch games and he either don't care or don't know what to do. Am I wrong here. I have no dog in the fight. Hell, I hope they keep him so if we meet the cowboys I am confident of a win. What is the cowboy's pick in the draft?

KISSman makes a valid point, and yes Romo hasnt been a big player in big games like a true elite QB, but to say he should be a backup is completely ignorant. Stats dont tell the whole story, but a guy with 30 TD's and 10 INTs is a quality starter

tony romo has about the same averages as Aaron Brooks. they won the same amount of playoff games. wouldn't want either one of them.

Romo's stats are much better then Brooks. Not even close

You do realize you guys lost the last time you played against the Cowboys with Romo at QB right?

horse crap. the last game but we butt hecked them the other times. Brooks is about the same. just a year less with Brooks . thing is they are both garbage. I am not scared of them at all. but then they aren't in the playoff so maybe next year.

Ya you guys plastered us the other time way back in 2006. Your 1-1 VS Romo

Brooks and Romo is a horrible comparison. Brooks had one year as a legitamatly good QB. Romo has put together 5 seasons of high quality play. He is what he is, a borderline Pro Bowl QB that is lacking some things that would make him an elite QB. Garbage or backup quality, that would be ignorant

  15. Jihad Joe

    Jihad Joe Life to Infidels

Brooks has never completed 60% of his pass's. Never had 30 TDs, never had a QB rating over 90, and got over 7 yards an attempt only twice in his career. Brooks always was no more then a borderline starter in the NFL. Romo has been a Pro Bowl caliber Qb every year except 2010

    Weak, weak comparison

If would be pitiful to compare him to brees. They both won the same amount of playoff games 1. I just don't see what is so good about Romo. I think he is just a bunch of hype their stats are not that far off. Both make critical mistakes at the wrong time. i just see brooks when i look at Romo,

and a probowl caliber qb means what? Yardage? which with the current rules every qb should be able to rack up 4000 yards. Touchdowns? I judge qbs by post season wins and he has what, one? Sounds like a probowler to me. Brooks has as many playoff wins as Romo has. And by the way I can't stand Brooks.

Mark Sanchez playoff record is 4-2.
Drew Brees playoff record is 4-3.

    =

Mark Sanchez is obviously the better quarterback.

Oh, You're going to bring up ... "Well Brees won a superbowl, so clearly he's better".

Trent Dilfer's playoff record is 5-1.
Drew Brees playoff record is 4-3.

Both have won one super bowl...

    =

Trent Dilfer is obviously the better quarterback.

Pro Bowl voting is done before the playoffs. It's for what an individual does in the regular season, it rewards them for an outstanding season, or supposed to. Your argument of Romo being anywhere close to as bad as Aaron Brooks is called being a hater. If Aaron Brooks or any other Saints quarterback would of ever been half as good as Tony Romo, it wouldn't have taken Hurricane Katrina to make the Saints a winning football team.

Oh, I forgot... BREESUS turned the organization around, considering he is ALMOST as good as Trent Dilfer is.

For being the self proclaimed QB expert, you sure are missing the mark. This time it WASN'T Tony's fault. It was the fault of the defense. Since the Detroit collapse,(which I will put all on Romo) Tony has played REALLY well. Hearing you say Tony choked is funny. The dude has played really well since Detroit. I think that your Homerism is just getting the better of you on this point dude. my .02
