Though he is concentrating on the Saints' playoff run now, there are reports New Orleans defensive coordinator Gregg Williams could already be looking for his next job. Williams is not under contract for the 2012 season, and according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, he may be coaching elsewhere next fall. However, that location is still to be determined, based on where Jeff Fisher lands as head coach. Fisher is considering taking either the Dolphins' or Rams' head-coaching job, and it is believed Williams will follow him to either location. The two worked together for seven seasons with the Titans from 1994 through 2000, Fisher as head coach, Williams as first a defensive assistant and then coordinator for Tennessee.

He may do that but why? Thought the main thing was winning Super Bowls. Why go to a bad team when you have a better chance of winning in New Orleans?

some guys like a challenge? maybe williams just wants to work with fisher again? maybe williams doesn't like working with someone in new orleans anymore? maybe his family would prefer living in st. louis?

could be a number of things............

Payton added $250,000 of his own money to the offer to get Williams here.....I'd be shocked if he left

He doesn't have a contract for 2012 is also very telling...

Look. The only reason I want him back is the continuity on defense. In reality, take away the wonder year of '09 this defense really hasn't played that well. We have talent on defense but they don't really put anyone away. I just don't want a new guy to come in and it takes a couple of years to install a new system and we lose the window with Brees.

Even though a part of me would like for him to leave what you said is what concerns me.
