Ryan Clark is the worst safety ever in coverage, he wouldn't have helped coverage at all. Now if you need him in run support or hitting defenseless receivers hard then he's your guy.
No...and he's probably the worst defender the Steelers have as far as the pass goes, but he's got the brains back there and is the one making adjustments on the back end. I think the whole defensive game plan today was garbage to be honest.
Yeah your right, GOD forced the Steelers DB's to suck so much on that field today taht they couldn't turn around and defend a deep pass and tackle a reciever. It has nothing to do with the fact the Steelers defense was complete CRAP because they were too afraid of Tebows legs...god just made them suck. :icon_rolleyes::icon_rolleyes::icon_rolleyes:
Tebow is still overrated, will be even more overrated now, and god isn't real. But god**mn am I happy to be playing the Broncos instead of the Steelers.
I think this is reason #1 for the loss, the gameplan actually encouraged the couple types of throws Tebow can make.
Lol @ dream team fan. You're not allowed to say any team is a joke. You have zero right to talk crap.
As a Chiefs fan Denver's win made for a difficult night's sleep. While staring at the ceiling a few things (some already discussed) keep eating my craw: 1. Roethlisberger's injury had a profound impact on the Steelers ability to convert many 3rd downs and thus put the ball in the hand of Denver more often than it should; 2. The loss of Mendenhall and Clark were profound. that's almost 20% of their starters. Clarks replacement ran up to the line of scrimmage on the final play of the game which left Thomas wide open. I doubt Clark abandons his man; 3. Nowhere in professional sports is home field more important than in the NFL. With 8-8 hosting over a 12-4 is an absolute joke. More recently, the 9-7 2009 Cardinals play two home game on their way to the SB. Once the playoff participants are determined (division winners and wild cards) it's time to reseed the teams according to record. It's only fair to those teams who played better during the regular season. Denver playing in Pittsburgh I think results in a different outcome. 4. What appeared at times to be a "I don't care" attitude by the defense, I think was more of a crapty game plan that the D couldn't execute. Apparently the coaching staff didn't watch game films of teams that were more than successful against Tebow. Shame on the coaching staff. That's it...if you disagree, have at it.
pretty much on target. Except I wouldn't re-seed until after the wild card games. Might as well just take out the divisions and be like the NBA. Just have the NFC and AFC. Let the division winners have their playoff game at home and then the best record determines where you play.
