I'd also like to add that our defense was still gelling together at that point in the season and they're playing at a much higher level now, Aldon in particular was not as far along in his development and was barely getting playing time outside of some situational pass rush plays.
Eli had all week in the pocket yesterday every time he dropped back it seemed, don't expect that to happen again. We just consistently destroyed a much better Saints line and hassled Brees all day long. On the flip side of that, SF Oline is much better than Green Bays, theyre gonna make you work for your pressure, which Im sure you will get, but it wont be easy.
It's gonna be a dogfight and hopefully as much fun as the SF/NO game. Good luck Giants fans, you're gonna need it.

Giants oline protected Eli against some of the best pass rushers in the league without problem. Is the 49ers pass rush a concern? Absolutely. Eli isn't going to be rattled. He is at his best when the game is chaotic. Like I said before the giants don't need to blitz to get to the QB which fares good for the Giants because they have the luxury to drop 7 into coverage, forcing Smith to be on point.

Either way this is going to be a close game. It's really a toss up game soley on the strength of the 49ers defense.

I just think of the final 4 teams, the Giants have the most complete team but I can see any of the 4 teams winning it all

Take the Giants. They have the better qb and tha will be the difference. The giants front four and seven is going to have a difficult time because the 49ers o line is big and very very atheletic. The score will be 26-24 giants.

Forecast is for rain starting Wednesday and continuing through the weekend, with a good dose of that ole Candlestick wind thrown in. It's gonna make for a sloppy muddy physical game, should be fun!

I'm stunned by the amour of hate the Giants are getting from our NFLC East brethren Eagle Fans.

Really you are surprised. Just the fact that the eagles did not make it into the playoffs and the giants maid it you knew that the eagles fans were going to talk crap.

  12. No, I'm not surprised actually.

This was meant as a joke.

I knew it was a joke. But never the less if your team is not playing can you really talk trash?

  14. Doesn't bother me really.............Giants-Eagles isn't exactly a friendly rivalry.

  15. Ed Hochuli's crew will be officiating the game.............

Just checked the long range forecast for SF on Sunday. Looks like rain.

not surprising eagle and some cowboy fans picking the Giants to lose....

I picked them to lose because of several things:

    Niners home crowd.

Giants letdown after beating the Packers.

    Niners DEF.

Perhaps a sloppy field which the Niners are used to.

Just saw that the SF area could see as much as 2 inches of rain before Sunday's kickoff. Hope they keep the field covered, or the field is going to resemble a mud pit.

even after getting to think about this game for a couple of days, i still have no opinion either way on who is going to win. both teams have a ton of momentum after they both beat the 2 'favorites' in the nfc.

both teams are playing well on both sides of the ball right now. both teams are healthy.

if any game lined up to be a 'last team with the ball will win' scenario, it would be this one.
