As expected, the Arizona Cardinals are expected to release offensive tackle Levi Brown, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. The fifth overall pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, Brown is due $8.33 million in base salary with a $6 million dollar roster bonus and $250,000 and was slated to count nearly $17 million against the team's salary cap in 2012. The Cardinals planned to release Brown if an extension lowering that number could not be reached. Brown has started 75 of his 77 regular season games in the NFL, playing right tackle initially before moving to the left tackle spot a few seasons ago. Brown should draw interest on a tackle market that previously had Jared Gaither (San Diego) and Demetrius Bell (Buffalo) as the top two players available. Source: Mac's Football Blog
they may have a plan ........... i just don't know what it is. demetrius bell ? maybe a trade they're discussing with someone?
eh, everyone keeps saying that but if he was so dead set on going to denver, i have a feeling the decision would be made today, as it was supposed to be. something about his weekend visits has made him open the list of teams .............. i think denver and arizona might have bombed their interviews.
