The Washington Redskins and free agent wide receiver Josh Morgan have agreed to terms on a five-year contract, Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com reports. According to Florio, the deal will void to two years with a total value of $12 million, including $7.5 million that is "guaranteed". (PFT's emphasis, not mine) Selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft, Morgan has 131 receptions for 1,764 yards and nine touchdowns during his 49-game career. Morgan finished the 2011 season on injured reserve after sustaining a fractured ankle late in a Week 5 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Morgan had 15 receptions for 220 yards and a touchdown last season.

I'll miss Morgan. Is an outstanding blocker and a YAC kind of receiver.

I love this signing for the Redskins. Looks like they are poaching the veteran receiving corps again...but still don't have a true #1 IMO...

Morgans definitely not that guy. He's a solid player but nothing special, would be a nice complimentary piece to a true #1, but a #1 he is not.

Redskins did a good job on picking him up. He is a solid #2 wr and a big upgrade for the skins at wr.

    Droid x. 49ers

Unless they are gonna us garcon as the new # 1 wr? Maybe he thinks hankerson will be that number 1 guy,but he only played 2 games last year before he got injured! I stopped trying to guess anything the skins did a long time ago! I Just roll with it and hope for the best!

Assembling the deepest, most mediocre receiving corps possible, at a heavy price tag.

"Interesting decision Cotton, let's see if it works out for 'em."

I like Josh Morgan but the Redskins need to find a number one bad. They sign mediocre veterans in bulk.

they just sign a ton of mid tier WRs every year

I honestly don't know the answer to this, what happened to Santana Moss?

Long term Its gonna be Hankerson IMO

The plus side to them getting a few #2/#3 WR's is that you can scheme around that. As of right now, no one out of Garcon/Morgan/Royal/Hankerson/Armstrong is anyone a defense needs to key on, but 3 of them on the field, and you can definitely move the ball.

IMO in about 2 years, Hank will be an 80 to 90 catch guy

Maybe, but I think he is legit. I thought he was a first rounder last year. Ill think he'll be about good for 45 for 700 this year and breakout his 3rd year. He showed some flash's last year

Maybe hankerson and garcon fight it out with fred davis in training camp.davis is a TE,but the last few seasons, has been the team's number 1 wr.
