The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with free agent tight end John Carlson on a five-year, $25 million contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Adam Caplan of The Sideline View reports Carlson, a native of Litchfield, Minnesota, received $11 million in guaranteed money. Carlson missed the 2011 season with a torn labrum on his shoulder. Despite that injury, and the team signing Zach Miller to a five-year, $34 million contract last August, the Seahawks were looking to keep Carlson for 2012 and beyond. The Kansas City Chiefs were also interested in Carlson.

Yeah, Ward, Shiancoe is as good as gone. I don't know if there were even any intentions of resigning him.
