    It appears that rumors of the Patriots' interest in Rams restricted free agent wide receiver is true, Scott Zolak of cbssports.com reports that Amendola was seen at the Patriots club facility last night. Amendola played for Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in St. Louis last year and is a fan favorite in St. Louis, as well as quarterback Sam Bradford's favorite receiver. This is definitely a case of deja vu-Amendola ia an undrafted free agent wide receiver from Texas Tech who played for Mike Leach. Think back to 2007 when the Patriots traded 2nd-round and 7th-round draft picks to the Miami Dolphins for Wes Welker-another undrafted free agent wideout out of Texas Tech. The Patriots can only hope Amendola can deliver the same rewards.

    Total Patriot type of guy...

    Who will be greatly overrated as soon as the Pats make an offer for him.

    Granted he's a tough bastard, but he's limited with the ball in hand and is pretty physically beat-up already. There's a reason why the Rams aren't too worried about letting him go, plus the second rounder would help us out even further.

    THe Dolphins weren't worried about letting Wes Welker go either...just saying...lol.

    Yeah I forgot that everyone who signs/gets drafted by the Patriots automatically becomes elite.

    Still, I should have learnt that from Albert Haynesworth and Chad Ochocinco winning the Offensive/Defensive player of the year in their first season at the Pats, not forgetting the excellence of five-time pro bowler Laurence Maroney.

    Don't forget Randy Moss and Mike Vrabel on that list. Maybe add Danny Woodhead...who?

    Corey Dillon. The pats have a good history of making guys who were average at other teams great with them. of course there are misses but for the most part its been good. Id be excited to see what they could do with this guy.

    Me too actually. I think he can be a solid WR with the Pats.

    Give you Moss and Vrabel, Danny Woodhead was a non-factor this season and was overrated in the year before where he was productive (Granted he was versatile and did what was asked of him, but putting him in the same league as Moss & Vrabel is hilarious).

    Six consecutive 1,000 yard seasons and four 1,200+ is average? Granted Dillon had his best single season performance with the Pats, but to dismiss him as 'average' in Cincy but 'Great' in NE is absurd.

    I just think it's stupid to presume that a move is fantastic simply because Belicheck had a part in it. Chances are if say the Seahawks or Falcons signed Amendola, no one would even batter an eyelid and chances are, many fans would be saying "who?". Slap Patriots in and say he's a small white guy and bam, he's Wes Welker, he's going to be 10000000000000000x all pro. It's freaking stupid.

    I want taking about Dillon specifically in that part. He was more of a malcontent who was happy when he came over. When you have the reputation BB had you're going to get the benefit of don't when out comes to stuff like this. People see him as the ultimate versatile player guy and a guy that can see talent where others maybe can't. I'm not saying that I'd always true, but that's the perception.

    @andy82

    Don't take it the wrong way. All I was saying that Amendola seems like a Belichick style guy. I'm not saying the guy is definitely going to be the next Randy Moss/Mike Vrabel/Wes Welker. All I was saying us he's a guy that would fit in well on that team IMO. Danny Woodhead was more of a joke...lol. Although, most peiple never heard of him until he arrived in New England.
