Jeremy Shockey is fuming mad that Warren Sapp labeled him as "the snitch" in the New Orleans Saints infamous "bounty scandal" -- and since Sapp called him out not the NFL Network, he wants an apology from Sapp and the league according to TMZ.com. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has already come out and said that Sapp's report was "inaccurate," but we're told that's not enough for Shockey. Our sources say the tight end wants a formal retraction and apology from both Sapp and the NFL. Shockey has been meeting with legal and business advisors and has not ruled out taking legal action if Sapp and the league don't apologize. Source: The Redzone
Shockey has always been a guy that can dish it, but not take it. I don't know anyone that cares for this tool.
Sapp is an idiot, and doesn't belong on TV. I can't stand most of the ex players who are brought on to talk about their sport... Listening to the announcers during the NCAA tourney is almost as bad as listening to Sapp go on and on about how much better he was than everyone else.
Well, overall I think NFL Network's news has improved. But the ex-jocks have to be limited. Sometimes segments de-evolve into a cluster F with no direction. Sapp seems to be on there to crack jokes and say something that gets a reaction. Did he go over the line by calling out Shockey? I think so. He pretty much painted a bullseye on the arrogant heck. NFL Network will have eat to crow before having to pick up the tab thanks to Sapp's mouth.
I agree with these posts...Screw Sapp, I'd make him apologize and make NFL Network apologize too, they hired him and they're responsible for his actions...SUE EM SHOCKEY...
