The Giants' season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys at MetLIfe Stadium is, oh, five months away. And the ink has barely dried on new Cowboy corner Brandon Carr's five-year, $51-million contract. But Carr is already talking trash to Victor Cruz. When the Cowboys and Giants faced off in last season's regular season finale, Cruz torched Dallas for 178 receiving yards and a TD. Carr was essentially signed to replace Terence Newman, the corner who Cruz often torched last season, and the Cowboys' new hire quickly announced that fans shouldn't expect to see Cruz salsa-dancing this September. "I want to use all my body,†Carr said on ESPN's NFL LIve on Friday. “I'm six-foot, 200 pounds. I know he's got to run through me to get wherever he's running, so I'm going to be patient at the line. All that salsa dancing, that's fine, but you've got to come through me. I don't plan on seeing no dancing." Source: New York Daily News
The cowgirls have no right to talk smack. We are the world champions. I understand its a rivlery but We are the Champs
Meh, Carr never talked that kind of crap with the Chiefs. Guess the Cowboy spotlight has already affected him.
no i dont but. I have that much pride in the Giants. I hate it when people say to me do you work for them or do you play for them when i say we when im talking about a team I root for. I just take that much pride in the teams I root for to not say we
Carr isn't some shut down corner. What because the Cowboy thought he was better than Newman he thinks he is one of the best corners in the league, snitch please. This will blow up in Carr's & Jerry's face. Maybe not game 1 against Victor Cruz, but he will get burned multiple times this year.
I like Carr approach talk crap and get into his head. I gaurantt you that Cruz won't have the year he had last season he's a marked man.
eh, i disagree. i live in k.c. and he had put himself up on a pedestal over the last season or so. his ego has been growing quite a bit. this doesn't shock me. i think carr is a good corner .......... a top 3 corner? no freaking way. He has built a reputation in this league by playing tight and breaking up a fair number of passes. However, because of this, if he whiffs, often times it goes for big yards. He may be able to reduce the number of catches a good receiver makes when they match up by batting a few down but a good receiver will get some long gainers on him too.
Your kidding right? The kid has pure talent, you don't think people tried to shut him down last year? Kids going to go off again this season.
