According to Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press, the Minnesota Vikings have released running back Caleb King. Signed as a free agent after leaving the University of Georgia and declaring for the 2011 Supplemental Draft, King spent 16 of 17 weeks on the Vikings' practice squad before he was activated for the final game of the regular season, but did not dress for the game. King was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of third-degree assault with substantial bodily harm after allegedly beating a 22-year-old Coon Rapids man at a party both were invited to. The victim has a fractured skull and facial injuries. The first-year running back has not been charged and was released from Anoka County jail earlier on Tuesday.
