The pastor to Junior Seau's family said they are "considering" having his brain studied for evidence of football-related injuries, a day after the retired linebacker killed himself at his California beachfront home. Pastor Shawn Mitchell made his comments to Reuters in a telephone interview after meeting with the family. Boston University's Center for Traumatic Encephalopathy has requested to research his brain for signs of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy), a disease of the brain found in people with a history of repetitive brain injuries.
