Jacoby Jones' fumbled punt in last season's playoffs set up a touchdown for the Baltimore Ravens in their 20-13 win over the Houston Texans. Now, Jones is going to try to help Baltimore this time as a member of the Ravens. Jones, 27, reached a two-year, $7 million deal with the Ravens on Tuesday, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. While Jones failed to reach his potential in Houston, he is a great fit for the Ravens. He becomes the No. 3 target on an unproductive wide receiver group and takes over as the primary punt returner. 7 mill was a bit much but Oz has desperately trying to improve our special teams...upgrade in the return game/4th WR...ill take it
hes kind of a crapty return man, but good fit for them as a WR option....7 mil is way more than i thought hed get though
Tandon Doss is gonna be the 3rd WR this year, im anxious to see him fully healthy, had he been healthy going thru the pre draft process and ran better he could have been a second round pick Jones is a pretty decent punt returner, upgrade over what we have and takes Ladarius Webb out of that equation. He's a bigger vertical WR that fits Cam's offense but he's wildly inconsistent. I dont expect alot of substance but i could see him getting deep a few times, pretty much what he did in Houston. I have a feeling when the numbers come out it's heavily incentive based and maybe a bit backloaded...
